Brains vs. Brawn
I think this basically separates the men from the women in Lysistrata, because in the play, the men are the ones using physical strength and force, while the women are the ones using their brains. Lysistrata unites the women together to make sure that they get their point across. The women unite and make the men submit to them by out-smarting them and using their weakness for lust against them. The women basically the women make a fool out of the men, who are "stronger" than them physically, without even lifting a finger.

i completely agree. the men take on their traditional roles as warriors and that lends to the concept of brawn. the women use their brains and wit to overcome the men. the men can't unite together to fight the protest or even use their brains to come up with a different strategy.
they failed completely. the women are successful and do make fools of the men, they completely manipulate them and in doing so, succeed.
I agree as well. I love how the men usually use their physical abilities to show that they are stronger than the women and that in this play their obsession with physical aspects becomes their weakness and the women are able to unite and show how much stronger they really are.
I do agree with the women being the brains of this operation, but ther's somrthing else here. These men are not capable of thinking clearly in their current situation. Due to the deprivation of sex and the stress of war, in addition to a shot in the balls eith women being in control, they become consumed with desire and
feel possibly as if they've lost their manhood.
